Scallop in Sweet and Sour Sauce


– 15 Scallops
– 1pc Shallot


– 4 tbsp. Ketchup
– 1tbsp Chinkiang Vinegar
– 1/2 tsp Salt
– Drops of Sesame Oil
– 2 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
– 2 tbsp. Sugar
– 1/2 Cup Water

Cooking Method

  1. Rinse the scallops and wipe them dry. Finely slice the shallot; mix the seasonings well.
  2. Blanch scallops in boiling water until cooked and drain.
  3. Mix the shallots with 1 tbsp. of oil in a large bowl. Microwave with medium heat for 1 minute. Pour in the seasoning then microwave again but with high heat for 1 to 2 minutes until boiling.
  4. Add the scallops and mix well. Heat with medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes and serve.
